This rule is useful if you utilize WWWebTek's Advanced Spam Filtering on
the email server. If this feature is turned "ON", we can label the
subject line of potential Spam with: [Spam]. See below for an example.
The following Outlook rule will move the potential Spam to a Spam Folder
in your Inbox. Then, your inbox will be clear of Spam and you can
periodically check your Spam folder for legitimate mail that was
inadvertently labeled as Spam. Please keep in mind that whenever Spam
Filtering in enabled, some legitimate mail will be marked as potential
Spam. Creating an Outlook rule prevents these legitimate emails from
being deleted.
How to Create a Spam Rule
- In the Outlook Inbox, on the Tools menu, click Rules Wizard.
- Click New. Click "Start from a blank rule" and select "Check messages when they arrive". Click Ok

- Check "with specific words" in the Subject condition. Then, click the "specific words" link in the Rule Description below. Place the word "[Spam]" (with the brackets) and click the Add button. Click OK and then Next.

- Check the "move it to the specified folder" condition. Then click the "specified folder" link in the Rule description below. Click the Inbox once and then click "new". Create a folder called "Spam" and then click OK and then Next.
